Setting up your Zapier Integration for RecruiterPal (Value-added service) is a breeze. Here's how:

  Permission level : RecruiterPal user accounts with Zapier-Coderbyte integration enabled


  1. Create a Zapier account

  2. Log into your CoderByte account, click on Plan Details > generate an API key

  3. Once the API Key is generated, click on the link "Click here to add Coderbyte to Zapier"

  4. Log into your Zapier account through this Zapier invite

  5. Click on Accept Invite and Build Zaps > My Apps

  6. Look for RecruiterPal  and click on it to launch a dialog

  7. Enter in your company shortname (e.g. https:/XXXXXX.recruiterpal.com) and click Proceed




  8. Grant access to Zapier 



Creating a Coderbyte Send Assessment Zap 

  1. Click on the "+" / Create a Zap 

  2. Look for RecruiterPal and click on it to start the Zap workflow



  3. Select trigger event as New Assessment and click Continue


  4.  Choose the Coderbyte account you have linked with Zapier and click Continue

  5. Choose your business entity within RecruiterPal and Assessment Provider as Coderbyte and click Continue

  6. Click Skip Test & Continue

  7. Under Invite Candidate in CoderByte, choose app as  "Coderbyte" and  choose action event as  "Invite Candidate" and click Continue


  8. Choose your Coderbyte account

  9. Under "Customize Candidate", choose the field "Candidate Email Address" and "Assessment Test URL"

  10. Toggle on and save your Zap!


Creating a Coderbyte Completed Assessment Zap 

  1. Click on the "+" / Create a Zap 

  2. Look for RecruiterPal and click on it to start the Zap workflow

  3. Select trigger event as Candidate Completed Assessment and click Continue

  4.  Choose the Coderbyte account you have  linked with Zapier and click Continue

  5. Click Skip Test & Continue

  6. Choose  RecruiterPal under the "Do this..." section

  7. Choose App as RecruiterPal and choose action event as  "Update Assessment" and click Continue

  8. Choose your RecruiterPal account that you have linked with Zapier

  9. Under "Customize Assessment", choose the field Search By as Candidate Email" and Search By Value as "E1. Email Address" and Assessment Provider as "Coderbyte"

  10. Assessment Test Link should be set with the following 2 components: 
    • The URL of the invite link and;
    • the Assessment ID Variable

      To get the URL of the invite link, log into your Coderbyte account, and copy any of the assessment link invites and remove everything after the ":".  Add in the assessment ID variable immediately after the URL


  11. Set Assessment Test ID as "1. Assessment ID"

  12. Set Score as "1. Final Score"

  13. Set Assessment Status as "Completed"

  14. For Assessment Summary, paste in the following HTML Code:

      15. Toggle on and save your Zap!




Adding Coderbyte assessments to RecruiterPal 


  Permission level :  Entity Administrators of RecruiterPal 


  1. Click on building icon > Business Entity > Manage Settings > Assessment Provider > Coderbyte > Manage Tests > Add Test
  2. Paste in the assessment invite link inside the Assessment URL and name the Assessment
  3. Click Add

Sending Coderbyte assessments from RecruiterPal 


Congratulations! You are now successfully set up the Zapier-Coderbyte Integration, and will be able to send Coderbyte assessments from RecruiterPal seamlessly now. 


Within RecruiterPal, click on any of the candidate within a job opportunity, and under the Actions button, click on the option "Send Assessment" 


Select the test type and click Create Assessment
